Ghanaian-born goalkeeper David Akologo receives Bolivia national team callup



Ghanaian-born goalkeeper David Akologo has been selected to join the Bolivia national team for their upcoming friendly matches in March.

Despite being from Ghana, Akologo has lived in Bolivia since 2020 and qualifies for Bolivian nationality under the country’s laws.

He has been playing impressively for Club Deportivo Aurora in Bolivia, earning him recognition from the Bolivian Football Federation.

Akologo previously had the opportunity to represent the Ghana U20 team, showcasing his talent internationally. His selection for the Bolivia national team presents him with the chance to further establish himself as a skilled goalkeeper on the global stage.

Akologo began his football journey in Bolivia with Cochabamba FC in 2020, later moving to Club Deportivo Aurora after a season.

He also had stints at CD Enrique Happ and Club Deportivo FATIC before returning to Aurora in January 2023. Akologo is expected to make his senior international debut for Bolivia in their matches against Algeria and Andorra in the upcoming FIFA Series.
