Prisoners in Koforidua, Ghana are pleading with the public to provide them with television sets to enable them watch football games.
The prisoners revealed that some of them are big fans of the sport, and it is a great source of entertainment to them. The added that the passion for the sport is slowly fading away because they don’t watch football matches anymore.
They also said provision of television will reduce depression rates in the prisons since the condition there is appalling.
They made these claims when Prophet Albert Asihene Arjarquah, Head pastor of Omega House Chapel of Assemblies of God Church in Koforidua, as part of his annual visit to the prison, evangelized, dinned with the inmates and made donations of assorted soft drinks, food items and toiletries to the prison.
