Ghana Premier League: Karela United thrash Legon Cities
Karela United registered a commanding victory at home against Legon Cities on Friday afternoon at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.
Legon Cities could not contain the Karela United as Diawisie registered his first two goals of the season.
Diawisie Taylor opened the scoring in the 30th minute, a strong deflection from Stephen Ayiku made it difficult for the Karela United goalkeeper to stop the goal.
Samuel Ofori doubled the lead for Karela United with a great finish in the 41st minute of the game.
Legon Cities tried to get back into the game but couldn’t breach the Karela defence as Diawisie scored his second goal in the closing moments of the game to give his side their second win of the season.
Karela United are currently sitting on the 10th position after that win while Legon Cities find themselves back in the relegation zone.
