Ghana PL Match Week 2: Preview and Predictions
The Ghana Premier League will enter its second week of fixtures across the various league centres in the country.
There will lots of matches for fans to look forward to, the Golden city park will be hub of Berekum Chelsea and Kotoko, the weekend’s top liner, Dreams FC will host Medeama SC at the Dawu Park amongst other matches that will be played.
Ignatius Osei Fosu one of the finest brains on the touchline masterminded an infamous draw against Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Prior to the game, he remarked confidently that, he won’t allow the Kumasi “Galaticos” to beat him on a third count, true to his words, he did just that.

Accra based Great Olympics have started this season’s Ghana Premier League well, picking up a rare point away to title hopefuls, Medeama SC at the T&A park. The inclusion of Asamoah Gyan for the upcoming duel will inure positively to the chances of his new side. These two sides have clashed on nine separate occasions, Legon cities have enjoyed the better of the exchanges, winning four (4) out of them, two (2) ending in a draw, Oly Dade will look to record their first victory against the royals as well as pick up three maximum points come this weekend.

The Nana Fosu Gyeabour park will see Bechem United play at home for the first time this season even though they will not have their fans cheering them on. The home side picked up a point at Liberty over the weekend and they will look to build on that feat when they lock horns with travelling WAFA side. Their visitors were the only side on match day one to pick all three maximum points in a seven-goal thriller with King Faisal Babies at Sogakope park. The presence of goal scoring sensation, Prince Adu Kwabena and Hafiz Konkoni will be something Prosper Narteh and his side should be wary off. Seven duels between the two, WAFA notching three wins, the home side with two and two ending in a draw.

Berekum Chelsea are one of few sides by pundits to win the league. They are side blessed with many talents. Asare Bediako has been replaced by Michael Hesse Odamtten, who didn’t disappoint in his first match of the season picking a solitary point away to Legon Cities. This weekend, they faceoff with another title contender, Asante Kotoko, who enjoyed a massive turn of events, from management, board, playing body, technical direction, sponsorship deals and others. The Kumasi “Galaticos” are well stocked in positions of which Maxwell Konadu can choose from.
Both sides have gone at each other for the past twenty-two times, Kotoko have enjoyed the better of the exchanges, eight, Berekum Chelsea with six to pride their selves with whiles eight ended in a draw. This match would have certainly lived up to its billing with fans present to charge up their respective sides to victory bar that this poises to be a serious encounter between the two heavyweights.

Dreams F.C spoilt aplenty with strikers (Joseph Esso, Abel Manomey, Kwame Otu, Emmanuel Ocran, Saed) failed to take their chances when they play away to Inter Allies. Coach Winfred Domond slammed his sides profligacy, they managed to score only 10 goals in 15 games something the headcoah will be looking to remedy when they faceoff with a bruised, Medema SC side at the Dawu park. The away side manage a draw against Great Olympics in their season opener, coach Samuel Boadu’s men have won two out of the four fixtures against their host with the other ending in a draw.
Predictions: Dreams F.C 1-1 Medeama S.C
Elmina Sharks will engage the services of Liberty Professionals at the Ndoum Sports Stadium this weekend. Both sides enjoyed contrasting fortunes last season. The two clubs picked a point each in their respective first games. The home side have won two of the six games with the other three ending in a draw. Coach David Ocloo and his charges will look to better their solitary win over their host in recent times when they rival each other for the three points.
Elmina Sharks 2-0 Liberty Professionals
Ainyase based Karela United have started well this season, travelling away to AshantiGold to pick a vital point. They have both played four games with Karela United the dominated of the two, winning three with a draw in between.
Henrik Lehm and his Capelli boys will give off their best at the CAM Park when they come face-to-face over the weekend. Evans Adotey and his boys will be buoyed by their versatile forward, Diawusie Taylor

King Faisal babies were a goal shy of drawing their first game against WAFA in a seven-goal-thriller at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.
The home side a season back was battling relegation but for the coronavirus which meant that the league had to be annulled. The transfer window helped them augment their side signing lots of players for the new season.
Aduana Stars are yet to play a match this season, their fixture against Hearts of Oak was cancelled as a result of the latter’s squad badly hit by the coronavirus.
The two sides have played nine games in the process, with Aduna stars edging six victories, the home side with only two victories and a draw as well.

Hearts of Oak’s duel with AshGold originally slated for this weekend has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 24,2020.
The move is to enable the players of the Phobia side to return from isolation this week to prepare adequately for their upcoming clash.
The two sides have played twenty-four times in the past few seasons, the away side the dominant of the two (2), winning nine (9), Hearts seven (7) and other eight (8) ending in a draw.
