Ghanaian midfielder, Lawrence Agyekum made an injury comeback for Liefering as they drew away to Sturm Graz in the Austria Bundesliga 2 on Saturday, October, 21,2023.
The Ghana international, who has been out since July, replaced Moritz Jonas Neumann on the 57th-minute mark to help salvage a draw after going behind four minutes after the start of the second half.

Agyekum’s introduction in the 57th minute came at a very opportune time as he combined effortlessly with Adam Daghim to set up Zetey Jano to restore parity for Liefering.
“I feel very excited to be back on the field. I have always waited for this day, as going through my recovery process and hoping for my comeback to which I’m back on the field is a great feeling.
“I’m thankful to God and the medical team for their part in my healing journey, hope to give my best to the club now in the upcoming games,” a delighted Agyekum told Saharafootball.net.
The return of the silky attacking midfielder will give Liefering the needed boast in the league as they find themselves in the drop zone, 15th with 10 points from eleven games.
