Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has been appointed as the Second Vice-President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The appointment was announced at a CAF Executive Committee meeting at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

The meeting saw the convergence of a host of key football personalities on the African continent, who met to discuss possible ways of revamping the status of African football on a global stage.
Other appointments made on the day were Fouzi Lekjaa from Morocco, Pierre Alain Monguengui (Gabon) Bestine Kazadi (Congo), and Feizal Sidat (Mozambique))

This appointment is geared towards giving several countries a voice on the executive committee as well as a representation of the Anglo, Franco, and Sahelian regions.
