Ghana FA appoint Swedish coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren as new Black Queens coach

The Ghana Football Association has moved swiftly to appoint Swedish international, Kim Lars Bjorkegren as the new Head Coach of the Senior National Female team, the Black Queens. 



This follows the gap left by former head coach Nora Hauptle who left the role after his contract was not renewed beyond, December 2024.

The Swede has managed sides such as Apollon Ladies(Cyprus), Linkopings FC (Sweeden),  Beijing BG Phoenix in the Chinese Super League (placing third in both the Chinese Women’s FA Cup and Super Cup in 2018). 

He was rcently the manager of Racing Louisville in the National Women’s Soccer League of the United States of America [USA.

The football hierarchy will hope Kim Lars Björkegren vast experience in the football circles will play a major factor in smoothly transitioning the Black Queens to gretaer heights.
