Ghana Black Princesses arrive in France for training tour
The Black Princesses have commenced a 7-day training expedition in France as part of their readiness for the upcoming 13th African Games in Accra 2024.
Setting off from Accra on Saturday evening, the team touched down in Paris on Sunday morning, poised to conduct training sessions at the esteemed National Football Centre in Clairefontaine.
During their stay, the Black Princesses are scheduled to engage in a series of friendly matches against prominent French clubs, offering invaluable exposure and skill-building opportunities.

This training venture is also a result of a collaborative agreement between the France Football Federation (FFF) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), under the banner of “Ghana Olympique-GO!” Spearheaded by the French Embassy in Accra, this strategic collaboration aims to professionalize women’s football in Ghana, fostering growth opportunities for more than 20 players, coaches, and referees.
This partnership endeavors to elevate the stature of women’s football in Ghana, advocating for gender parity and empowerment through the sport.
The Black Princesses will remain in France until February 17, 2024, before returning home to resume their preparations for the African Games.
This training expedition underscores Ghana’s steadfast dedication to women’s football and its aspirations for excellence on the global stage.
