The Ghana Football Association has announced the calendar for the 2019/2020 season. There has been no league football in the country following Anas’ Number 12 expose on corruption in Ghana football.
A normalization committee was put in place in the interim to oversee the transition and formation of a new Football Association since then and their mandate ended on the 25th of October when Kurt Okraku was elected president of the Football Association.
Since his election as President, Mr. Okraku has sort to put the needed measures in place to begin the league which has left a lot of clubs in debt and players rusty following inactivity. On Wednesday a new league calendar was released which indicated that the football season for 2019/2020 would begin on the 21st of December and end in July 2020 after which the 2020/2021 season would be synchronized with that of Europe.
Below is the calendar for the 2019/2020 season. Ordinary Congress will take place on the 12th of December.
