The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo, has affirmed that the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will come off as planned across the various league centers in the country.
This recent development come as a result of suspended AshantiGold notifying clubs of an impending court injunction on the league.
Referees Daniel Laryea and Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey were selected for the AFCON Preparation Course
But in a swift rebuttal, Mr. Addo opined that the Miners and their legal representative have no cause to thwart the start of the league hence the league will go on as initially communicated to the Ghana Premier League clubs.
“If you look at the AshantiGold case, the fact of the matter is the person who is suing in this instance is not a member of the FA.
“AshantiGold has been suspended but the individual, technically, has no locus,” he told Akoma FM.
The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will see Hearts of Oak travel up north to face off with Real Tamale United on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
