Asante Kotoko are out of the MTN FA Cup after losing on penalties to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday evening, at the Len Clay Stadium.
Berekum Chelsea beat the defending Champions 4-5 to advance to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The home side had several chances to take the lead but were not clinical enough. Fabio Gama missed a penalty in the first half, the Brazilian saw his effort hitting the post before Sarfo Taylor’s following effort went above the bar.
Both teams had several chances in the remaining minutes of the game but couldn’t take them and had to settle with a penalty shootout.
Wahab Adams was the only player that missed from the spot as Berekum Chelsea celebrate their feat at the Len Clay Stadium.
