Ex Hearts of Oak Coach, Samuel Boadu joins Berekum Chelsea as Head coach

Ghana Premier League-winning coach Samuel Boadu is poised to assume leadership at Berekum Chelsea after agreeing to a one-year deal with the club.

Boadu, known for his successful stint with Hearts of Oak where he achieved a domestic double and clinched the Ghanaian FA Cup, is expected to bring his wealth of experience and tactical acumen to Berekum Chelsea.

Sources close to the club indicate that Boadu has already finalized the contract and is set to be formally introduced ahead of Berekum Chelsea’s upcoming match against Accra Lions on Sunday.

His appointment follows the departure of Christopher Ennin, leaving the club without a permanent coach.

Despite recent national assignments and a temporary coaching role at second-tier side Cornerstone FC, Boadu is eager to return to the top flight and assist Berekum Chelsea in their quest for success.

While Annor Walker was initially considered for the position, Boadu emerged as the preferred candidate and has now signed a short-term contract.

Boadu’s impressive track record, highlighted by his transformative impact on Medeama as title contenders during his tenure, makes him an appealing choice for Berekum Chelsea.

With Boadu at the helm, the club aims to improve their standing in the Ghana Premier League. Currently placed sixth on the league table, they trail leaders Samartex by five points with 15 games remaining in the season
