During his time in the Ghanaian top division, Boateng made 54 appearances but has only featured nine times this current season.
PEPO head coach Tero Nieminen expressed his satisfaction with the new addition to his squad, stating, “We have been looking to strengthen our defensive options since the start of the training season. Derick is a versatile player who can play in various defensive positions and even in midfield if needed.”
PEPO, founded in 1958, is based in Uus-Lavola, Lappeenranta, and plays its home matches at the Kimpinen Sports Centre. The men’s first team currently competes in the Kakkonen, which is the fourth tier of the Finnish football league system.
