Denis Odoi: We conceded stupid goals against Mozambique
Black Stars defender Denis Odoi has shared insights into the goals Ghana let in during their last Group B match against Mozambique at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday.
The Club Brugge player characterized the two goals as lacking in sound judgment and emphasized that the team cannot be competitive if they continue to concede goals in such a manner.

In the 91st minute, Andre Ayew conceded a penalty, while Richard Ofori’s contact with an innocuous ball resulted in a corner, leading to the equalizer.
This trend aligns with the team’s struggles in the tournament, with similar issues observed in the other four goals they conceded. Speaking after the game,he said:
“If you look at the goals we conceded, we can’t say we deserve any more. It’s just about the goals we conceded; they are stupid.
“Stupid mistakes and if you give away the balls like that, we cannot compete.”
