Kotoko has released eleven first-team players in a massive overhaul following an uninspiring end to the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League.
The Kumasi-based club finished the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League campaign 6th with 49 points which didn’t go down well with a host of stakeholders of the club.

The club confirmed that long-serving goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim, the enterprising, Isaac Oppong, Ivoirian, and Serge-Eric Zeze were part of the players that have been let go by the club.
Others include Kalo Ouattara, George Mfegue, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Augustine Agyapong, Nicholas Mensah, John Tedeku, Moise Pouty, and Mohammed Sheriff.

The club held a meeting today, June 18, 2024, to relay the decision to the players.
Kotoko will hope to dig deep into the transfer market to sign players to augment their squad ahead of the new season.
