Ex Hearts of Oak player, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh made his FC Zurich debut in  their 2-0 loss to FC Lugano

Ghana’s Daniel Afriyie Barnieh finally made his debut for Swiss side, FC Zurich over the weekend. The attacker joined Zurich from GPL side, Accra Hearts of Oak.

Barnieh was part of Ghana’s team that was eliminated from the Group stages at the just ended Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Barnieh was introduced in the 88th minute for his debut as he replaced Jonathan Okita for FC Zurich.

He had little impact as his team were just three minutes away from losing.

Barnieh missed out on the recent Black Stars call up as new head coach, Chris Hughton announced his squad for the double tie against Angola.
