Coach Odartey Lamptey named as assistant coach for the Black Satellites.
Nii Odartey Lamptey, the former Ghanaian forward and FIFA U17 World Cup champion, has been appointed as the assistant coach for the national U20 team, known as the Black Satellites.
He will serve as the deputy to Desmond Offei, who has taken over as the head coach following the departure of Samuel Boadu.
Lamptey brings a wealth of experience in talent development, gained through his diverse roles and his tenure as the head coach of the GlowLamp Academy.

Additionally, he will collaborate with Fatawu Salifu, who will assume the role of the second assistant coach for the U20 team.
During his illustrious career, the former Ghanaian international played for several clubs, including Anderlecht, Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven, Coventry City, Boca Juniors, Ankaraguchu, Shangdon Luneng, Greuther Fürth, and União Leiria.
Lamptey notably led Ghana to victory in the 1991 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Italy, where he was also awarded the FIFA Best Player of the Tournament title.
He represented Ghana in various international competitions, including the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and the 1993 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Australia, as well as the 1992, 1994, and 1996 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
