CK Akonnor confirms Asante Kotoko exit
Asante Kotoko Head coach CK Akonnor has confirmed that he is no longer with the club.
Earlier reports suggested that Asante Kotoko have terminated the contract of CK Akonnor and are in talks with Ashantigold coach Zachariassen as his replacement.
“Yes it is true, I am no more the coach of Kotoko, I have been asked to step aside but to take over as technical director. I can’t comment any further” Akonnor told Oyerepa FM
CK Akonnor revealed that he was told in a meeting to take charge of the technical director role but he declined and decided to step down.
CK Akonnor won his major trophy with Asante Kotoko a few weeks ago after securing the GFA Special Competition Tier-one trophy and also qualifying for the CAF Champions League.
