The alleged fixed game happened in the previous season of the Ghana Premier League matchday 34 at the Len Clay stadium at Obuasi on Saturday.
The Compliance & Integrity Officer and the GFA Prosecutors said they will lead the “sporting” investigations by the GFA with the association stating they will lodge a complaint on the match with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana wing of Interpol for the criminal investigation of the game.
Speaking to Angel FM Sports, the CID boss deducted claims by the FA on the ongoing investigation; NO investigation has been done on the matter. “The GFA only came to our HQ to report on an alleged match-fixing in their league”
“We told them we are ready to pick it up since it’s a criminal offense in their regulations but we asked that they write an official statement detailing clubs involved etc. They told us they’ll come back with the statement..”
“We never heard from them again till today. We had been waiting to hear from them since they left our office after the verbal complaint. All we heard was that they had started another league season. They didn’t submit any report and there’s no way we could commence investigations”
Inter Allies who had already been relegated were beaten 7-0 by AshGold at the Len Clay stadium on Saturday.
The Miners dominated the game from start to end, racing into a three goal lead in the first half.
The aftermath of the game raised suspicions about the matches being fixed.
