Dreams FC made history by qualifying for the semi-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup at the expense of Malian outfit, Stade Malien at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The Ghanaian sealed qualification 3-2 on aggregate. They become the third side since Hearts of Oak and Kotoko carved a path in the inaugural CAF Confederation Cup competition in 2004.

The Dawu-based club bagged $400,000.00 from participation, US$ 550,000.00 being an additional 150,000 after qualification from the group stage to quarters.
Upon qualification to the semi-finals, they will receive, US$ 750, 000.00 being additional 250,000 after qualification from the quarter-finals to the semi-finals.
If they manage to reach the finals, they will earn an additional US$250,000 making it US$1,000,000 as well as US$2,000,000 if they win the competition.
Similarly, Zamalek beat Egyptian club, Modern Future FC by 3-2 on aggregate.

The first leg of the tie will be played in Cairo on April 21 with the reverse fixture set for Kumasi, a week later.
