Ghanaian Premier League champions, Medeama SC defied all odds to qualify at the expense of, Remo Stars for the next stage of the CAF Champions League on Sunday at the RS Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State in Nigeria.
The Ghanaian club was coming into the game with bags of confidence after posting a 1-0 victory over their Nigerian counterparts courtesy of a Jonathan Sowah solitary strike at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama secured qualification for the next round of the CAF Champions League after winning the second leg of the qualifiers via the penalty shootouts.
Remo Stars got the much-needed break in the 73rd minute after the ball ricocheted off Kofi Asmah for the first goal of the game.
With the game ending, 1-1. The Ghanaian side pulled through after winning 3-2 in the penalty shootouts to dump the hopes teeming fans at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikene.

The Mauve and Yellow outfit making their debut in the CAF Champions League will play host to Guinea giants, Horoya Athletic Club in the next round of the competition.
