Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has emerged as the Men’s African Player of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards.
In a contest that had worthy competitors such as South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy, and Cote d’Ivoire’s Simon Adingra all gunning for the top award in front of teeming football lovers in Morocco.

The Nigerian forward’s exploits for the Super Eagles in the lead-up to finals where the lost to the host nation, Cote d’Ivoire in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final went unnoticed.
