The President of Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold Dr Kwaku Frimpong has been banned from all football-related activities for ten years after being found guilty of match manipulation.
The Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee released a long-awaited verdict on match-fixing allegations involving Ashantigold on Monday morning 16th of May 2022.
Following a series of ‘strong evidence’, the Disciplinary Committee decided that Dr. Kwaku Frimpong will be banned from all football-related activities for 120 months, and Ashantigold will be demoted to Division Two after the current Ghana Premier League season.
The club’s executive officer Emmanuel Frimpong has also been banned from all football-related activities for 96 months for his involvement in match manipulation.
