Black Queens coach Bashiru Hayford has urged Ghanaians to support the queens by filling up the stadium in their numbers.
In a presser leading up to their second against Mali on Tuesday the coach said, “Awudome (Cemetery) XI cannot play my team because they are in the cemetery. I need the fans in the stadium to come and cheer us. If they don’t cheer us, it will be like two cemeteries playing and they wont be anyone there”
We Are Prepared To Host And Win AWCON – Coach Bashir Hayford
The Black Queens played their first game on Saturday with a narrow 1-0 win over Algeria in a game they should have won by more goals.
They will have to be a bit more clinical however against Mali who lost their opening game 2-1 to Cameroon after taking the lead.
However the coach of the Black Queens remained confident, urging that they take the tournament one game at a time.
