Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle expresses satisfaction with her team’s ability to keep clean sheets
Nora Hauptle, the head coach of the Black Queens, expressed her contentment with her team’s ability to keep clean sheets.
Speaking after the match against Benin in the second-round of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers. She emphasized that the defensive solidity pleased her even more than the three goals they scored.
With a 3-0 victory in Cotonou, Hauptle’s side now holds a favorable position heading into the second leg in Accra.
Reviewing the match in Benin, Nora Hauptle acknowledged that her team allowed a couple of notable chances but ultimately preserved a clean sheet.

She remarked, “We gave them two significant opportunities, but I’m extremely pleased that we maintained a clean sheet.”
“That accomplishment brings me even greater pride than scoring three goals. In the second half, we could have added one or two more goals.”
She further stated, “All in all, I’m very content, although we expended a lot of energy on the field. Now it’s crucial to focus on recovery. Come Tuesday, we’ll be giving it our all.”
Under Nora Hauptle’s guidance, the Black Queens have participated in eight matches, netting an impressive total of 29 goals while conceding none.
