Azam part ways with Razak Abalora
Tanzanian giants Azam FC have let go of Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Abalora after three years stint with the side.
This latest development comes on the heels of both parties failing to agree on free terms once the prior three years contract the Ghanaian signed with the Dar Es Salaam club expired.
Abalora, 23, has been a standout performer for the side since switching sides from Ghanaian Premier League side West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) to sign for them.
Additionally, he has lots of international exposure having featured for the Ghana national under-23 team, as well as Black Stars ‘B’. He was also part of the players called by former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers doubleheader against South Africa and Sao Tome last year.
The confident goalkeeper as things stand now may return to his former Sogakope based side to train with them in an attempt to secure a move away to Europe, interestingly local clubs in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda are all said to be circling around him ahead of the new season.
