Asante Kotoko and former Inter Allies midfielder Richmond Lamptey has been banned from all football activities for 30 months after being found guilty of Match Fixing by the GFA Disciplinary Committee. The player has been banned for his involvement in a match-fixing scandal during his time at his former club Inter Allies in their game against Ashantigol in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season. The Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee released a long-awaited verdict on match-fixing allegations involving Ashantigold on Monday morning 16th of May 2022.
