Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has changed his name after converting to Islam. Partey, 28, was raised as a Christian in Eastern Ghana and went on to play for Atletico Madrid before sealing a £45 million switch to Arsenal in October 2020. In March of this year, Partey announced he had become a Muslim due to his Moroccan girlfriend Sara Bella and he recently told Ghanaian journalist Nana Aba. Ghana Black Maidens team suffered inhumane treatment when they traveled to Morocco for the second leg of the FIFA U17 women’s World Cup Qualifiers. According to reports, four Black Maidens tested positive for COVID-19 after they were tested in Morocco, this ruled out four of their best players out of the game. The Black Maidens technical team also reported that their players went through unusual medical checks to confirm their gender ahead of the game. At halftime, the Black Maidens were shocked when they realized the dressing room has been sprayed with chemicals thereby forcing them to sit outside.
