The President of the Confederation of African Football has announced that the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place June/July in Ivory Coast, has been postponed. CAF decided to postpone the tournament due to heavy downpour during June/July in Ivory Coast. The rain is at its worse during the original dates (in Ivory Coast) and CAF has decided to move the tournament to January/February 2024 when the conditions will conducive for the tournament. Final decision was made today by the CAF Executive Commitee after a meeting in Rabat, Morocco.
