Asante Kotoko trip to Belize for an international friendly game with the country’s national team has been cancelled, the Belize football federation announced. According to a statement released this weekend, the country’s federation rescinded the decision to invite Asante Kokoto after they failed to raise a team for the game. Asante Kotoko were set to begin preparations to travel to Belize for the friendly game during the World Cup to keep their players fit before the local league resumes.

The 22-man Black Meteors squad that traveled from Accra to Maputo for the TotalEnergies CAF U-23 Championship second-round qualifier against Mozambique has been confirmed. Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side includes Afriyie Barnieh, Danlad Ibrahim, Samuel Abbey Quaye, who were all in the U-20 team that won the 2021 CAF U-20 tournament in Mauritania.
