Confederation of African football have confirmed that Egypt and South Africa are the two countries in contention of hosting the 2019 African Cup Nations after the two countries submitted their bids. Asante Kotoko settled for a 0-0 draw against Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya in the first leg of their Confederation Cup and their boss CK Akonnor says he is satisfied with the performance his team displayed. Football activities in Ghana will resume next month. The normalization committee released a statement on Friday. The competition is scheduled to start on January 26, 2019 and end on April 21, 2019. Kariobangi Sharks  released a statement to deny Asante Kotoko’s maltreatment allegations. Kotoko went public to voice their displeasure of how they are being treated in Kenya after their request for a better team bus was turned down by management of Kariobangi Sharks.
