Confederation of African football have confirmed that Egypt and South Africa are the two countries in contention of hosting the 2019 African Cup Nations after the two countries submitted their bids. Asante Kotoko settled for a 0-0 draw against Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya in the first leg of their Confederation Cup and their boss CK Akonnor says he is satisfied with the performance his team displayed. Football activities in Ghana will resume next month. The normalization committee released a statement on Friday. The competition is scheduled to start on January 26, 2019 and end on April 21, 2019. Kariobangi Sharks  released a statement to deny Asante Kotoko’s maltreatment allegations. Kotoko went public to voice their displeasure of how they are being treated in Kenya after their request for a better team bus was turned down by management of Kariobangi Sharks. Kotoko chief George Amoako said they would return the favor when their opponents travel to Ghana for the second leg. The confederation of African football have released their revised shortlists for the various categories of the 2018 awards.  The CAF Technical and development committee voted and shorlisted the nominees, and he final phase will involve votes from CAF Media Experts, Legends, Coaches of the quarter-finalists of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, and Coaches & Captains of the 54 Member Associations.
