Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has completed a move to Spanish second-tier side Albacete, the former AC Milan player reportedly signed a one-year deal with the club. Muntari has been inactive for over six months after leaving Deportivo La Coruna last summer. Asante Kotoko will receive the sum of $150,000 from the Ghanaian Government for qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages. The Sports Ministry announced that the Government will be supporting Ghanaian clubs in African competitions. The statement stated that clubs that manage to qualify for the CAF Champions League will receive the sum of $200,000, while $150,000 will be given to club that qualified for the CAF Confederations Cup group stages.
