Karela United refund GHc 50,000 Sarfo Taylor transfer fee Management of Asante Kotoko has reached an agreement with Karela United in the dispute over the failed acquisition of player, Solomon Sarfo Taylor. The Porcupines moved for the striker and made a payment of GHc 50, 000 to the Anyinasi-based Premier League club in that regard. Maxwell Baakoh resumes full training with Asante Kotoko Asante Kotoko forward Maxwell Baakoh is fully fit and has resumed training with the club’s first team as they prepare for the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs. The talented winger has been out for seven months after suffering an injury in their last CAF Confederation Cup campaign. Maxwell Baakoh resumed light training two months ago but was not ready to join Asante Kotoko in their CAF Champions League preliminary stage games. FIFA extends mandate of Normalization Committee The Bureau of the FIFA Council has extended the mandate of the GFA Normalisation Committee (NC) to enable the NC to supervise the upcoming GFA Elections. The second mandate of the Normalisation Committee expired on September 30, 2019. However, in view of the upcoming GFA elections, FIFA has extended the Normalisation Committee’s mandate up to November 17, 2019, to enable it to complete the process of electing a new President and Executive Committee. Kotoko to hire Karela coach Johnson Smith to assist Zacchariassen- reports Asante Kotoko have reportedly offered Karela United coach Johnson Smith the opportunity to be an Assistant to Kjetil Zachariassen at the club. The management of the club are considering making changes in the club’s technical team after failing to make the group stages of the CAF Champions League. It is assumed that Johnson Smith will eventually replace Kjetil Zachariassen as the head coach but the club wants him to start as an assistant.
