Medeama SC beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-0 in Kumasi at the Baba  Yaya Sports Stadium. Jonathan Sowah scored the opening goal in the 15th minute  to put Medeama ahead. Kotoko struggled to create any decent  chances as the defence of Medeama were resolute,The mauves and yellows held on to the lead  going into the break. Joseph Wollacott  has been cleared for Angola clash after injury scare in training on Tuesday Wollacot  picked up a toe injury last night during the Black Stars’ training session  at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. A goal post fell on the Ghanaian shot stopper which led to the injury. He was attended to immediately by the team medics. The extent of the injury has been said to be very minimal after the medical team of the Ghana FA assessed the goalkeeper.
