Ghanaian and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has been nominated for the prestigious BBC African Player of the year award. His nomination was announced in a tweet by BBC News Africa’s official twitter handle. The Ghana Black Stars will on Sunday face Ethiopia for a place in the 2019 African cup of nations qualifiers but following the suspension of Sierra Leone by FIFA last month, Ghana’s match with them was called off and left the group in a dicey position. Inter Milan player Kwadwo Asamoah’s real reason to withdrawing from the Black Stars squad has been revealed after photos emerged of him training with his other colleagues on Wednesday after complaining of an injury. Ghana Black Stars had their first training session today in Nairobi Kenya. The boys are preparing for the #AFCON2019 qualifiers game against Ethiopia on Sunday. A total of 19 players were called up by Coach Kwesi Appiah and they have all reported on the first day of training in Nairobi.
