28-year-old Okrah will sign for the Lions of Msimbazi on a two or three-year contract in a few weeks after passing his medical examination and all personal terms agreed.
Okrah together with Hearts of Oak’s Daniel Afriyie were initially called up to the national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central African Republic [CAR].
The Ghana Premier League duo could not make the bench for the first game against Madagascar and were subsequently dropped from the squad that made the trip to Angola for the second game against CAR.
Okrah was recalled to the squad for the four-nation tournament in Tokyo but declined the offer citing injury as the reason.
Okrah was released by Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana premier league season to Bechem United where he scored 14 goals in 31 games in the Ghana Premier League this season.
The former India-based NorthEast United Attacker also played a pivotal role for Bechem having helped them reach the finals of the MTN FA Cup as he scored a screamer in the semi-finals against Aduana Stars.
He was the top scorer of the Ghana Premier League in the 2013-14 season with 16 goals during his first stint with Bechem.
Okrah later moved to Swedish side BK Hacken on loan before joining Sudanese giants Al Merreikh the following year. He crossed carpet to join rivals Al Hilal Omdurman after a season.
