Asante Kotoko sack Policy Analyst Amo Sarpong
Management of Asante Kotoko have sacked their Policy Analyst Amo Sarpong following his recent six-months ban for incidents that transpired at Golden City Park in Berekum a few weeks ago.
Amo Sarpong was involved in a fight when Asante Kotoko traveled to play Berekum Chelsea in the Special Competition, Amo Sarpong reportedly fired warning shots with his gun when he was being lynched by Berekum Chelsea fans.
The Normalization Committee made a decision to ban Amo Sarpong for six-months from all football activities for his involvement in the incident.
Executive Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei decided to sack Amo Sarpong after his ban was confirmed.
Amo Sarpong released a statement after his sacking:
“It was an interesting journey, a true call to duty, I served with all my heart & might. May God bless the club, the Exec Chmn, mgmt, fans & grant us the favor to achieve greatness once again,”
