Asante Kotoko are favorites – Medeama coach Samuel Boadu
Medeama SC will face Asante Kotoko on Thursday in Matchday two of the Special Competition, and their head coach Samuel Boadu accepted the underdog tag as he believes Kotoko are favorites.
Asante Kotoko will be searching for a second victory after beating Aduana Stars in Kumasi in the opening fixture, while Medeama will be playing their first game of the Competition after their opening game against Berekum Chelsea was postponed.
“We are ready for the game against Kotoko. They are favorites but we’ll give off our best on Thursday in Tarkwa” coach Samuel Boadu said.
He also admitted the quality of his opponent and stated that they will have to work hard to get a positive result from the game.
“We have absolute respect for Kotoko. They played in Africa and have the best team in Ghana at the moment. We must work hard against them” he added
When asked if they are favorites to win the competition:
“We can’t be among the favorites. We just are just working hard at training. We have to wait to see”
Medeama will host Kotoko in Tarkwa on Thursday.
