
Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have announced that they will return to full football activities in Ghana Football next month, the club officially announced on Monday.
Asante Kotoko halted football activities a few weeks ago after their fan Nana Pooley was gruesomely murdered during their league game against Nsaotreman.
After arrests and progress in identifying the perpetrator, Kotoko has officially announced that the club will resume football activities following the burial of the victim, Nana Pooley.
“We are convinced the Ghana Police we intensify their investigations and the court will also continue with their trials. Based on the happenings so far, Asante Kotoko shall be ready and willing to return to the pitch after the burial and final funeral rights of Nana Pooley” the club communications director Sarfo Duku said.
The late Nana Pooley will buried on the 6th of March, 2025.
