Alban Bagbin, Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, has made a commitment of GH₵100,000 to Medeama SC.
Medeama SC achieved a historic milestone by clinching their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.
They secured this victory with a convincing 3-0 win over Tamale City at Akoon Park on the final day of the season, maintaining a five-point lead over Aduana FC.

Throughout the recently concluded season, Medeama SC demonstrated their prowess by winning 18 matches, drawing six, and losing ten.
During a ceremony held in Accra on Wednesday, where the team and its management presented the trophy to Parliament, Speaker Bagbin expressed his support for the club, led by coach Evans Adotey.
He generously pledged GH₵100,000 to assist them, stating, “So Medeama SC, I want to assure you that the house is with you, and I will pledge an amount of GH₵100,000 now to support you.”
“This is the time to enjoy, refresh, motivate, and incentivize yourselves for the upcoming task. Congratulations.”
He further pledged the support of the Parliament to accompany Medeama SC throughout their journey in the continental competition, aiming for them to bring the African Cup home to Ghana.
Speaker Bagbin affirmed his commitment to ensuring that the team receives the necessary resources and motivation to surprise the continent by winning the cup.
In preparation for the CAF interclub competitions next year, Medeama SC is also planning to bolster their squad and establish a partnership with a female club, meeting the new requirements set by CAF.
