Ajax coach urges Kudus to consider staying amid Premier League interest.
Maurice Steijn, the head coach of Ajax, has disclosed that they are putting in considerable effort to persuade their star midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, to stay with the club for another season, despite strong interest from Premier League teams.
Kudus, the exceptionally talented attacking midfielder, declined a one-year contract extension back in April, indicating his desire to leave the Dutch club.
Reports suggest that Chelsea has already begun discussions to secure the services of the 22-year-old Ghanaian international, aiming to finalize the deal during the current summer transfer window.

In the previous season, Kudus made a significant impact at Ajax, showcasing his versatility by contributing an impressive total of 18 goals across all competitions.
His ability to excel in various positions, such as forward, attacking midfielder, winger, and central midfield, has captured the attention of prominent English clubs.
Nevertheless, Ajax’s coach believes that if Kudus decides to stay for one more season and continues to deliver outstanding performances, his market value will increase significantly.
Steijn emphasized, “I feel that if Kudus chooses to stay for another year, the truly elite clubs will then pursue him. If we win the league and he scores 20 goals, clubs will be willing to pay double for him.”
“This is the message we are trying to convey to him now.”
