Former Ghana coach Charles Akonnor is overly optimistic about the chances of the Black Stars to seal qualifications for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The BalckStars have had a torrid campaign since the start of the qualification duels. They lost their opening duel against Angola and shockingly drew 1-1 against Niger in Morocco.

The Balck Stars have a point from two games in Group F which has become an increasing headache for the technical team heading into the double header against Sudan.
“Qualifying should not be a problem. I will be surprised if they don’t qualify, but we have to do well when we play in the competition proper,” Akonnor stated to Graphic Sports.
Twenty-three players have arrived in camp for the game against Sudan. Francis Abu and Jonas Aryeetey are yet to team up with the rest of the team.
