Ghana captain Andre Ayew has given the strongest indication that the BlackStars will give off their best in the upcoming tournament slated for Cote d’Ivoire.
The BlackStars are making it to their 10th successive appearance at the tournament and will hope to break a four-decade-long wait for the trophy which has long eluded them since they last won it in 1982.

Speaking ahead of the Black Stars’ first game against Cape Verde in the pre-match conference, Ayew said, they (the team) will give off their best.
“We’ve seen a lot of teams who were not expected to win the AFCON, and they won it. We’ve seen teams expected to win it. AFCON is unpredictable, and that’s an open door we can slide into. we will give our best”
“It’s a huge tournament for the team, the last tournament was very difficult. There were a lot of things that happened that made it go that way. We need to learn from it so we ensure things on or off the pitch don’t happen again. It’s my 8th AFCON but the ambition always has been to win the trophy”.
The Le Havre playmaker Andre Ayew will hope to inspire his team to victory in a tournament that promises to be his last and final bow in the AFCON.
