Chris Hughton, the coach of the Black Stars, has highlighted the importance of strategic planning to secure a victory in Ghana’s final match against the Central African Republic in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Hughton expressed his disappointment following the team’s recent draw in the second-to-last qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo.
In a post-match interview, Hughton expressed his determination to approach the final match of the qualifiers in Group E with a mindset focused on winning.

“We are well aware of the implications if we do not succeed. We will be fully prepared for the game in September. Our mindset is geared towards winning the game against Madagascar,” stated Hughton.
Currently leading Group E with 9 points, Ghana maintains a favorable position in the qualifiers.
However, the coach remains mindful of the stiff competition from Angola and the Central African Republic, who closely trail with 8 and 7 points, respectively.
