The Princesses of Ghana were awoken by the early slip-up seeing, Stella Nyamekye and Jennifer Owusuaa’s numerous efforts nullified by the Austrian goalkeeper.
Nicole Ojukwu stepped up to convert a penalty on the 70th-minute mark to dampen the hopes of the West African side from a comeback.
Stella Nyamekye finally got rewarded for his effort in the 89th minute but the goal came too late to spark a leveler for Yusif Bassigi’s side.
